Opportunities to Serve - Davenport

DAVENPORT - Want to be involved?
Here are some opportunities:

Annual Dinner Coordinator
The dinner is tentatively scheduled for March 29. However, we are in need of an individual or individuals willing to coordinate!! The Community Center has already been secured. There are notes available to help guide you. Numerous volunteers have stepped up to offer their assistance so you won't be doing this alone, however, we just need someone to "Chair" this event. Grab a friend and do this together! The dinner will have to be canceled if no one volunteers.

Synod Assembly Representatives
This year's assembly is scheduled for April 18-19, in Fargo at the Holiday Inn. Looking for two representatives.

If you are interested in helping out with either of these events, please contact Kristina Leslie.

Sock Drive

Norman/Davenport Sunday School Sock Drive for the homeless through the month of February. Donations will be given to the North Dakota Joy of Sox. Baskets are set up in the narthex for your donations. Thank you!

Recycling Opportunity

In recognition of Love your Charity month celebrated by MinnKota in the month of February, MinnKota will provide an additional 15 cents per pound for aluminum cans and an additional 2 cents per pound for sorted recyclables delivered to the redemption centers during the month of February. We'd like to encourage all Norman-Davenport Parish members to bring in their recycling and mention the Norman Lutheran Youth or Joan Grabanski's phone number 701-428-3707 and it will get credited to the youth account. This is a great bonus now in February for charities and would encourage all parish members to bring in recycling for this worthy cause. You can donate the following clean sorted material and receive the following additional funds for your recycling: Aluminum cans: 15 cents/pound #1 and #2 plastic bottles: 2 cents/pound Magazines: 2 cents/pound Newspapers: 2 cents/pound Sorted paper: 2 cents/pound Steel and tin cans: 2 cents/pound Visit their website for a recy…
